Significant regulatory changes took effect March 30, 2026, transferring authority from IRCC to provinces for assessing candidates' economic establishment ability and intent to reside

Recent PNP-specific Express Entry draws show decreasing CRS requirements: April 13 draw had 786 cutoff (down from 802 in March)

Ontario OINP conducted multiple targeted draws in April 2026 for physicians, francophone candidates, healthcare workers, and mining occupations

What You Should Do

  • Review your provincial nomination application if submitted before March 30, 2026, as assessment criteria have changed
  • Contact your nominating province directly for questions about economic establishment and residence intent, as IRCC no longer handles these assessments
