Provincial Nominee Program Update — October 19, 2026
Monday, October 19, 2026
Draw #448 on October 13, 2026 issued 752 ITAs to PNP candidates with a CRS cutoff of 772 and a tie-breaking rule of July 15, 2026 at 13:57:33 UTC — the highest PNP cutoff in the recent draw history shown.
Two additional draws occurred shortly after: Draw #449 (CEC, October 15, CRS 519, 2,500 ITAs) and Draw #450 (French-Language Proficiency, October 16, CRS 435, 5,000 ITAs), showing IRCC is running draws across multiple streams in quick succession.
PNP candidates invited through Express Entry receive 600 bonus CRS points automatically upon nomination, making provincial nominations a critical lever for candidates whose base CRS score alone would not clear general draw cutoffs.
What You Should Do
- If you hold a provincial nomination, confirm your Express Entry profile reflects it so the 600-point bonus is applied — log in at canada.ca/express-entry and verify your CRS score includes the nomination points.
- Check the official Express Entry rounds-of-invitations page (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/rounds-invitations.html) to see if a new PNP draw has been posted after October 13, 2026, as IRCC has been running draws on a rapid cadence.
- If your Express Entry profile was created after July 15, 2026 at 13:57:33 UTC and your CRS (with nomination) is near 772, you were not eligible for Draw #448 due to the tie-breaking rule — review the next PNP draw criteria as soon as it is announced before taking any action.
- If you do not yet have a provincial nomination and your base CRS score is below recent general-draw cutoffs, research provincial PNP streams for your occupation at the province or territory's official immigration page, as a nomination can add 600 points to your Express Entry CRS score.

PNP Express Entry Draw Trends: Draw #448 on October 13, 2026 set a CRS cutoff of 772 for 752 PNP invitations — notably higher than the September 28 PNP draw cutoff of 725 and the September 14 cutoff of 734, suggesting an upward pressure on PNP scores in recent rounds.
Category-Based Selection System: IRCC ran three separate category-specific draws within four days (October 13–16, 2026) — PNP, CEC, and French-Language Proficiency — continuing its pattern of targeted draws rather than general all-program rounds.
