Provincial Nominee Program Update — June 8, 2026

Monday, June 8, 2026

British Columbia's BCPNP issued 357 ITAs on June 2, 2026 — its 12th draw of the year — targeting construction trades and care-related occupations (healthcare, education, veterinary) aligned with its April 23 provincial immigration priorities.

The BC PNP released an updated Skills Immigration Program Guide effective May 28, 2026, and opened registration for a new Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support initiative running June 15 to August 31, 2026.

Canada's 2026–2028 Immigration Levels Plan has raised the national PNP nomination target sharply to 91,500, up from 55,000 in the previous plan, significantly expanding provincial pathways to PR.

What You Should Do

  • If you work in construction trades or healthcare in BC, review the updated BC PNP Skills Immigration Program Guide (effective May 28, 2026) at welcomebc.ca to confirm your NOC code is among the 43 targeted occupations and check minimum score requirements (as low as 92 for veterinary roles).
  • If you are a health professional in a rural or remote BC location, register for the Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support initiative between June 15 and August 31, 2026 at welcomebc.ca — registration closes August 31.
  • Attend the BC PNP webinar on June 10, 2026 focused on the CARE objective and the Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support initiative. Check welcomebc.ca/news for registration details.
  • If you are in the Express Entry pool with a provincial nomination, note that PNP Express Entry draws have cleared between 786–805 CRS in 2026 (scores boosted by the 600-point nomination bonus). Confirm your nomination is reflected in your Express Entry profile at canada.ca/express-entry.
