Ontario revoked all nine of its existing OINP immigration streams on May 30, 2026, with no replacement streams yet announced. The province proposed four new pathways in a December 2025 consultation, but has not confirmed eligibility criteria or launch dates.
British Columbia issued 357 invitations on June 2, 2026, targeting construction trades and healthcare/care-related occupations under its updated provincial immigration priorities announced April 23, 2026.
PNP nomination allocations have increased approximately 31% across most provinces in 2026 compared to early 2025 levels, with Ontario at 14,119, Alberta at 6,403, and British Columbia at 5,254 nominations.
What You Should Do
- If you were planning to apply through an Ontario OINP stream, check the OINP website at ontario.ca/oinp immediately — all streams closed May 30, 2026. If you had an application in progress, confirm with OINP that it will be assessed under the rules in effect at the time of submission.
- Monitor the OINP website (ontario.ca/oinp) and IRCC social media channels for announcements about the four proposed replacement streams (Employer Job Offer TEER 0-3, and others proposed in the December 2025 consultation) — no launch date has been confirmed.
- If you are in construction trades or healthcare in British Columbia, check your eligibility for the BCPNP Skills Immigration stream at welcomebc.ca — the minimum score in the June 2 draw ranged from 92 to 111 depending on occupational category.
- If you are in a province that has not yet confirmed its 2026 allocation (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, or PEI), monitor that province's PNP website for allocation announcements before submitting applications.
